Alessandro Del Piero will put pen to paper on a new Juventus contract tomorrow or Friday, say reports.
The captain's current deal expires on June 30, so he would become a free agent at that point.
Negotiations have been dragging on for some time and director general Beppe Marotta said this week there was “a gentleman's agreement” between Del Piero and President Andrea Agnelli.
That is now set to be formalised by signing a new contract some time tomorrow or Friday, according to Tuttosport and Sky Sport Italia.
It is reported that Stefano Del Piero, the player's brother and agent, has agreed terms with Marotta.
