It seems as if Milan’s first offer for defender Domenico Criscito was turned down by Zenit.
Their attempts to sign the Italy international have hit problems, as a meeting between Zenit and agent Andrea D’Amico did not find a breakthrough.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Russian club Zenit have rejected the initial offer of cash plus either Philippe Mexes or Cristian Zapata.
These are two players Zenit are not interested in and they would prefer a simple cash sum.
The current price-tag for versatile defender Criscito, who can play as left-back or in the centre, is €12m.
