Inter teenager Philippe Coutinho says he hopes to remain with the Italian giants for the 2011-12 campaign.
There are suggestions that the Nerazzurri may loan out the player in order to help his development, but the 18-year-old wants to learn his trade at San Siro.
"I hope to stay here, but that's up to Inter," he told Inter Channel in an interview. "If it were up to me, I'd remain."
Coutinho was used with frequency by former boss Rafael Benitez following his summer move from Vasco Da Gama, but he's found it more difficult in recent times.
"The speed of the game was the biggest problem I came across here in Italy, compared to how we play in Brazil.
"For example Wesley Sneijder, who plays in the same position as I do, is really fast. Maybe this is the biggest issue I've encountered."
The attacking midfielder was also asked to comment on Antonio Careca's observation that he sees signs of Zico in his play.
"It's an honour to be compared to Zico, one of the greatest," Coutinho added.
"I've seen him in lots of DVDs and I really wish I was like him. But I also liked Ronaldinho very much in his Barcelona days."
