A leading French newspaper has denied reports in Italy that Antonio Conte is set to replace Laurent Blanc at Paris Saint-Germain.
Corriere dello Spot revealed earlier today that the former Juventus boss was on the verge of being appointed by the French champions.
The Ligue 1 winners have ‘a lack of trust’ in Blanc, the paper suggested, but L’Equipe have moved quickly to deny those assertions.
The French sports daily leads with a report that PSG are confident in the ex-defender’s ability, and will give him at least one more year to bring domestic, as well as European success to the club.
It seems then, that Conte is back on the agenda for the Italian national team, and is favourite to take over from Cesare Prandelli.
