Sampdoria are on the verge of bringing ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano from Palermo.
According to Sportitalia, a deal has been struck this evening for a loan with option to buy.
Palermo will also cover a portion of his wages, which was reportedly the last stumbling block in negotiations.
Viviano is a 28-year-old former Fiorentina goalkeeper who spent last season on loan at Arsenal.
The Blucerchiati had also been interested in Udinese’s Zeljko Brkic and Catania shot-stopper Alberto Frison.
