Alessandro Nesta believes Milan's Scudetto was “thoroughly deserved, as we were top of the table for the whole campaign.”
The Rossoneri's 0-0 draw with Roma this evening mathematically clinched their 18th Serie A title and sparked celebrations.
“We were top of the table for the whole campaign, so it was only normal that we'd be there at the end too,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.
“We have an eight-point advantage and the Scudetto is thoroughly deserved. I dedicate this title to my family.”
When asked who he thought were the key players in the victory, Nesta looked to both attack and his centre-back teammate.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva were decisive.”
