Chievo will reward midfield veteran Luciano with a new one-year contract after the club ensured Serie A survival.
The Brazilian midfielder has had a problematic campaign at the Bentegodi where he has struggled for form and fitness.
Nevertheless, Chievo look set to hand him a new deal for the 2011-12 season where avoiding relegation will again be the objective.
Luciano has only played four Serie A games this season, totalling just 212 minutes in the Italian top flight.
Luciano has been in Italy since his 1998 switch to Bologna at a time when he went under the name of Eriberto.
He moved to Chievo in 2000 and has spent his entire career there, apart from an unsuccessful six month spell at Inter at the start of the 2003-04 campaign.
