Inter playmaker Hernanes says he is hungry to achieve great things with the Nerazzurri this season.
The Brazilian arrived at San Siro from Serie A rivals Lazio in January and, during an interview with Sport Mediaset, he admitted to still being short of full match fitness.
“I am feeling good but I’m still not at my peak fitness,” Hernanes said. “I still need a few days to get back to my best condition.
“Inter have a lot of hunger and I want to do something extraordinary and significant for this team.”
Hernanes then commented on his experiences of his country’s hosting of the World Cup, as well as new signing Gary Medel
“My country had a fantastic experience. It went badly [result against Germany], but I enjoyed it a lot. The plan was for it to have gone differently, but it went how it went.
“He [Medel] is a great player, he did very well with his team. It was hard against Chile and I am happy for him.”
