Inter President Massimo Moratti has denied today's meeting was to consider sacking Rafa Benitez. “I don't change my mind from one day to the next.”
The rumour mill went into overdrive this evening when director Marco Branca had a lunchtime meeting with the Coach, then visited the President and his son Angelomario Moratti for a long summit.
“I wanted to hear how the meeting had gone between Benitez, my son and Branca,” insisted President Moratti in a note on the official club website.
“It was a working meeting, just as I hope Benitez will have every day with the medical staff, Branca and others.
“There were also similar meetings with Jose Mourinho. I certainly don't change my mind from one day to the next.”
It is the second time today that Moratti has had to publicly rule out sacking his Coach.
