Delio Rossi concedes it's difficult to be a Coach at Palermo. “President Maurizio Zamparini saps us of energy. I don't understand his thinking.”
The fiery patron is notorious for his trigger-happy ways and already fired Rossi for 35 days before recalling him.
This week Zamparini declared the Coach was talking to other clubs and demanding €2m wages, so would probably not be given a contract renewal.
“Just two days after a great result that took us into the Coppa Italia Final and back into Europe, reading the President's comments made me think these words were either preventative or simply untrue,” replied Rossi.
“I do not understand the way he thinks. The team and I will nonetheless work hard and stay quiet to lift the Palermo colours as high as we can.
“These rumours that I am talking to other clubs are just taking away attention from the important things, which are Palermo's objectives.
“At the moment we are in with a chance of lifting the Coppa Italia for the first time in the club's history.
“With these comments, Zamparini saps us of energy. I don't want to risk adding to that problem, so will shut up and carry on with my work.”
