Francesco Guidolin has warned Udinese that “this is a unique opportunity for the Champions League. It's now or never.”
The Friulani have leapt into fourth place at the right time going into this weekend and are the favourites to qualify for Europe's top competition, especially as they face already-safe Chievo.
“We are taking on a mentally-strong side. We are in good shape and have to prove that on the field,” said the Coach.
“If we want fourth place, then the only available result for us is a victory. We know it won't be at all easy to achieve that.
“We are also very aware that this is a unique opportunity for the Champions League. Don't forget from next year only the top three in Serie A will qualify for the competition. It's now or never.
“Udinese have earned their place in the table, point after point, and nobody gave it to us. I don't want to make a mistake now, as this team can take me where I have never been before.
“Opportunity is knocking for us and we've got to open that door.”
Alexis Sanchez is still struggling with that ankle injury and has trained separately all week, but is in the squad.
Around 4,000 fans are expected to travel with Udinese to the Stadio Bentegodi in Verona.
