Luigi De Canio says he expects to stay with Lecce after keeping the club in the Italian top flight.
The Salentini made sure of Serie A survival yesterday thanks to a 2-0 win away at rivals Bari.
"I still have two years left on my contract and we should continue together," noted the former Udinese boss.
De Canio has had a campaign to remember after having his resignation request rejected by the club in late 2010.
"That decision wasn't associated with the results," he told Rai. "It was because of my difficulties with the President.
"Perhaps I pushed too much. I felt that I was in difficulty.
"However, he calmed me down and told me that these things could happen. He said that it wasn't right to opt for such a solution."
