Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle has again told Riccardo Montolivo to make a decision on his future.
Montolivo, tied to the Viola until 2012, has stalled on a new contract which has raised doubts over where he will be playing his football next season.
"His case is a peculiar one," Della Valle noted. "Although his contract won't expire this year, the time has arrived for him to tell us what he wants to do.
"We have done what we needed to, we can't do any more."
It's understood that the Tuscan giants have offered the midfield a contract extension until 2016, which is reputedly worth €2m a season.
Inter and Juventus have shown an interest in the Viola captain who is now also a regular at international level.
Montolivo, 26, started his career in the famed Atalanta youth academy.
