Inter captain Javier Zanetti has declared Leonardo is on a par with Jose Mourinho. “I give both 10 out of 10.”
The Argentine was asked to look back over his career at the club for Mediaset, including a rating for the Coaches he has worked with.
“I give both Leonardo and Mourinho 10 out of 10. To Gigi Simoni and Hector Cuper it's nine. Roy Hodgson and Mircea Lucescu eight.”
It's an intriguing comment considering Mou won the Treble last season, whereas Leonardo's only hope of silverware this term is the Coppa Italia.
“There are two games I'd like to play again: Juventus-Inter in 1998 and Lazio-Inter in 2002.”
The Nerazzurri were in the title race for both campaigns when suffering crucial defeats.
In 1998 a controversial 1-0 loss saw Ronaldo denied a penalty for Mark Iuliano's push, while in 2002 they were top of the table only to fall 4-2 at the Olimpico in the final round.
