Roma legend Carlo Mazzone believes “Carlo Ancelotti is the right man” to take over at the Stadio Olimpico.
Ancelotti has always said he wants to lead the Giallorossi one day, having spent much of his playing career at this club and adoring the city.
Now that he has been sacked by Chelsea, the door is open to replace Vincenzo Montella and begin a new era with President Thomas Di Benedetto.
“I can say, as a former player, former Coach and current fan, that it's not easy to be in charge of Roma,” Mazzone told TMW.
“The fans are extremely demanding. I see only one man who is right for this job: Ancelotti. He has everything it takes to lead the Giallorossi, including a very successful career behind him.
“He knows the environment, having been a Roma player. He has all the characteristics needed to represent the new club. I also see Marcelo Bielsa linked with the position, but right now Roma do not need experiments.”
