Barcelona prepare for tonight's Champions League Final as Pep Guardiola insists “Luis Enrique is perfect for the Roma job.”
The Giallorossi are looking for a new tactician after American investor Thomas Di Benedetto takes over next month.
Many have been suggested, including Didier Deschamps, Carlo Ancelotti, Marcelo Bielsa and Stefano Pioli, but Luis Enrique is another intriguing alternative.
“I don't know if he was really contacted by Roma, but if he does go then I'm sure he'll do well,” said Guardiola, a former Roma player.
“I know him and Luis Enrique has a lot of character, so he'd be perfect for a difficult arena like Roma.”
The Barcelona manager himself has been linked with the Stadio Olimpico bench too.
“I still have a year left on my contract with Barcelona and I want to respect it.”
Barca face Manchester United at Wembley this evening in the Champions League Final.
