Chievo directors have confirmed “we are interested in Vincenzo Montella” to take the bench next season.
Montella was promoted from the youth academy to the main role at Roma when Claudio Ranieri resigned mid-season.
“We are interested in Vincenzo Montella. He can be an interesting bet along the same lines as the challenge we won a year ago with Stefano Pioli,” director of sport Giovanni Sartori confirmed.
“Speaking of Pioli, we at Chievo give him our best wishes for this new experience at Palermo.”
It is not yet official that Pioli is going to be the new Rosanero boss, but an announcement is expected imminently.
As for Montella, he has also been linked with the job at newly-promoted Siena, whose Coach Antonio Conte has signed for Juventus.
