Vincenzo Montella has succeeded Diego Simeone on the Catania bench, the Sicilian club have confirmed.
Montella, who will be replaced at Roma by Luis Enrique, has signed a two-year deal with the Stadio Massimino outfit who were looking for a 4-3-3 tactician.
The former Sampdoria, Roma and Italy striker will be presented to the media on Friday 10 June.
Montella was also targeted by Chievo Verona recently after they lost Stefano Pioli to Palermo.
Montella was appointed as Roma tactician, from the youth academy, in February following Claudio Ranieri's resignation after the 4-3 loss at Genoa.
