Milan continue their search for a left-sided midfielder and are now looking to Barcelona's Seydou Keita.
The Rossoneri have made it clear they want a reinforcement for that area of the squad and have been linked with names like Axel Witsel of Standard Liege.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, an older and more experienced candidate is Mali international Keita.
If Barcelona sign Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal, then Keita would be free to go for around €8m.
It is also important to note he has a French passport, so would not fall foul of the EU limits in Serie A.
Meanwhile, Milan are also in talks with Cagliari over their co-ownership of Davide Astori.
The two clubs cannot seem to reach an agreement on where to go from this summer, as the Sardinians have offered €1m for the remaining 50 per cent of his contract.
However, the Rossoneri value the Italy international at a total of €5m, so hope to buy him out in order to sell on to Palermo.
