Domenico Criscito should complete his move to Napoli on Monday. “Walter Mazzarri strongly wanted him.”
The Genoa defender is heading to the San Paolo, his hometown club, after the sides agreed a fee of €6m for co-ownership.
“Mazzarri strongly wanted him in his squad, so everything was very easy,” explained Genoa director of sport Capozzucca.
“The lad was of interest to several clubs, including Napoli, then there was contact between the two Presidents. They have an excellent rapport, so it was simple to work out an agreement.”
It's believed Criscito will sign a four-year contract worth €1.5m per season plus performance-related bonuses.
