Alexis Sanchez has distanced himself from comparisons with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. "I'm just me."
The Udinese talent is one of the most wanted players on the transfer market, with the Italian club asking for more than €35m for his services.
The Chilean has just concluded his finest campaign in Serie A, with some likening him to the Barcelona ace and the Real Madrid star.
"I'd like to just be remembered as myself without any comparisons," Sanchez told Calcio 2000 magazine.
"I'm still some way off from achieving what Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have done," he continued.
"I am just Sanchez. I'm only at the start and I must continue on this path. It takes more than two or three goals to become a great player."
When asked where he would like to be in a decade's time, the South American kept his feet on the ground.
"I don't know, I'm just taking things a year at a time," he added. "I know that I want to play football. I want to improve – as a person and as a player."
