Serie A side Napoli have rejected suggestions that Manchester City have made a €40m bid for Marek Hamsik.
The Premiership side today became the latest club to be paired with the highly-rated attacking midfielder.
However, after rejecting links between Milan and the player, President Aurelio De Laurentiis has now quashed this latest piece of speculation.
"It's just the same old story," the Azzurri chief noted. "I have not received any offer for €40m for Hamsik."
The Azzurri do have a number of players that some of Europe's top clubs noticed in the past campaign.
The Stadio San Paolo outfit were one of the revelations of the tournament after they qualified for the Champions League.
"The Scudetto? Let's take things easy," De Laurentiis added. "Let's just try and enjoy the Champions League for now."
