New Milan defender Philippe Mexes is hoping to be back in competitive action by September.
Mexes hasn't played since he damaged knee ligaments in Roma's home defeat to Juventus last April.
Talking to RMC Sports, the Rossoneri's Bosman summer signing admitted that he hopes to be available for France's September 2 clash against Albania.
"I have to admit that I am thinking about that game," he said. "I want to be there and I'll do all that I can to make it.
"I've been in Toulouse for the last two months working on my rehabilitation. I'm just focused on being fit again as soon as possible in order to play alongside my teammates.
"The season at Milan will start on July 12. At the moment everything is going well. I'm doing my best to get back into action quickly."
