Reports are gathering pace that Eusebio Di Francesco will soon be announced as the new boss of Lecce.
The Stadio Via Del Mare outfit are looking for a Coach after Gigi De Canio left just weeks after ensuring their top-flight status.
Former Cesena tactician Massimo Ficcadenti has been linked with the role, but it is being suggested that the ex-Roma player is also on the club's short-list.
Talks have already taken place with the present Pescara boss who could put pen to paper in the next 48 hours.
Di Francesco, who won 12 caps for Italy, started his coaching career at Lanciano in the summer of 2008.
He was sacked in January 2009 and wasn't handed another job until Pescara called a year later.
The 41-year-old led the then Third Division Pescara into Serie B and helped them finish 13th in the last campaign.
