Newly promoted Siena have admitted defeat in their attempts to sign Bari goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet.
"We like the player, but I don't think he will come," sporting director Giorgio Perinetti told Sportitalia.
"I believe that he will end up at either Bologna or at Torino, given that Toro boss Giampiero Ventura has specifically requested him."
Ventura worked with the goalkeeper at the Stadio San Nicola for the best part of two seasons before he quit the club this term.
The Belgian 'keeper will leave Bari after over a decade with the southern outfit following their relegation to the Second Division.
Bologna are looking for a new goalkeeper given that Emiliano Viviano, who is part owned by Inter, may leave.
While Ventura wants reinforcements for a promotion push after the Serie B outfit didn't even make the play-offs this term.
