Domenico Criscito could still complete a transfer from Genoa to Napoli, his representative has underlined.
It seemed as if the move was off after Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis yesterday suggested that the Neapolitan wouldn't sign for his hometown club.
"The President's words surprised me," noted agent Alessandro D'Amico. "The negotiations have certainly not ended.
"Talks are going brilliantly between myself and Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon," he continued.
"The player is willing to join Napoli, but there are some economical issues that have to be resolved first."
De Laurentiis hinted that he feared Criscito would snub the Azzurri after links with Inter and Paris SG.
"Napoli would struggle to compete if Inter arrived, but neither they nor PSG have come forward," D'Amico added. "The Napoli move is still on."
