Catania insist they are not in talks with Juventus regarding a possible move for Turin flop Jorge Martinez.
The Uruguayan left the Sicilian club a year ago in a €12m deal, but his campaign with the Old Lady was a problematic one.
The transfer rumour mill is suggesting that Catania could buy him back, an option which has been ruled out by Stadio Massimino chief Pietro Lo Monaco.
"I deny the claims," the official noted. "There is nothing going on with Juventus regarding Martinez.
"Unfortunately the player didn't have a brilliant year in the Bianconero shirt and I'm convinced that he would recover his skills at Catania.
"We are very attached to him, but there are absolutely no discussions going on with Juventus for Martinez."
The attacking midfielder appeared in just 14 Serie A games for the Old Lady this term for a total of 563 minutes.
