Delio Rossi says that he was never in with a chance of being handed the Inter hot-seat. "They didn't call."
Rossi was a candidate to replace Leonardo at San Siro after he left Palermo in the summer and Inter missed out on numerous big name Coaches.
Nevertheless, Inter snubbed the former Lazio boss completely in favour of hiring Gian Piero Gasperini.
"I was never close to the Inter bench," he admitted. "I wasn't even contacted by the Nerazzurri directors.
"I have had offers from other clubs, but I'm at home because I haven't found what I'm looking for," he continued.
"In order to do my best I have to find a club that puts me at the centre of their project, I have to be an integral part of it."
Rossi was also linked with moves to Roma, Sampdoria and Atalanta this summer.
