Nicola Legrottaglie has told Lecce that he'd be happy to sign for them if they made a bid for his services.
"I'm ready to evaluate any offers," the 34-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "And Lecce would be a welcome solution.
"They are a club who have achieved some important results over the last few years in Serie A and B.
"Playing in Italy or abroad doesn't make much difference to me, I'm ready for any experience," he added.
"All that I am looking for is an important project and at that point I am ready to calmly discuss anything."
The veteran stopper is available on a free transfer after he wasn't handed a new contract by Italian champions Milan this summer.
The former Azzurri international, who started his career at Bari before making his name at Chievo, is a central defender.
He joined Milan in January from Juventus after agreeing a six-month contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Siena, Cesena and Novara have also been paired.
