Udinese confirm “negotiations with other clubs are at an advanced stage, but we know Alexis Sanchez strongly wants to join Barcelona.”
The Chilean talent is in a transfer tug-of-war between Barça and Manchester City, but despite the Premier League side offering more than €40m, they look unlikely to sign him.
“Negotiations with other clubs are at an advanced stage, but we have to take into account that Sanchez strongly wants to join Barcelona,” director of sport Fabrizio Larini told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“We know that in these cases the preference of the player is very important.”
Barcelona set a form of ultimatum by declaring the last offer was “definitive,” but Udinese are in no rush.
“There is no immediate deadline for Sanchez's future, as he is currently taking part in the Copa America with Chile.”
