Genoa have confirmed the capture of Uruguayan striker Sebastian Ribas ahead of the new campaign.
The move has been expected for the past month and his contract has now been signed, sealed and delivered.
Ribas, still only 23-years-old, has actually already spent time in Italy with stints at Inter and Spezia.
He joined French club Dijon in the summer of 2008 and last season finished the campaign as the Ligue 2 top scorer with 23 goals.
Steaua Bucharest and Sporting Lisbon were also understood to be interested in the uncapped South American.
