Udinese and Barcelona are still some distance apart in their talks over Alexis Sanchez, says Friuli chief Giampaolo Pozzo.
"As the player has said, if he is to move then Barcelona would be a good choice, but there is nothing concrete yet," stated Pozzo. "We are still far off an agreement."
The Chilean international is wanted by the Nou Camp outfit, but the Italian club's €50m valuation has yet to be met.
It's understood that Barca have offered €29m for the South American, with the addition of a possible €12m if certain clauses are met.
"He'll cost around €50m because we are Udinese," added the patron. "If he was at another club then he'd cost even more…
"I actually want him to stay. He's still young and he could mature further with us."
Pozzo last night claimed that Napoli had made him an interesting bid for the attacker, but he doubts a switch to the San Paolo is on for the World Cup player.
"They made us an offer, an economically valid one, but it would be hard for them to complete the transfer," Pozzo concluded.
