Djibrill Cisse will touch down in Rome on Tuesday morning ahead of his medical with Serie A side Lazio.
According to numerous sources in the Italian capital this evening, the French striker is on the verge of completing his switch to the Biancocelesti.
It's understood that the Stadio Olimpico outfit have agreed a €5.8m fee with his Greek club Panathinaikos.
The 29-year-old will sign a four-year contract, with an option for a further 12 months, worth €2m a campaign.
Cisse's arrival will almost certainly push Sergio Floccari out of the door with Parma a possible destination for the striker.
Cisse, a French international, has played for Auxerre, Liverpool, Marseille and Sunderland during his career.
He joined Panathinaikos in the summer of 2009 and responded with 55 goals in 88 games for the outfit.
