Napoli have admitted that their summer spending has still not come to an end after confirming that they need a striker.
The Azzurri have been busy in the market so far, this week alone signing Gokhan Inler, Miguel Britos and Mario Santana.
However, with a Champions League campaign ahead, boss Walter Mazzarri is looking for some attacking reinforcements.
"We're working night and day for Napoli," President Aurelio De Laurentiis noted. "We still need something up front."
Lazio striker Sergio Floccari has been linked after the capital club brought in Miroslav Klose and Djibrill Cisse.
Nevertheless, Lazio President Claudio Lotito insists he is unaware of the Azzurri's admiration for the forward.
"We've had no offer from Napoli for Floccari," noted Lotito.
Napoli have also been linked with former Juventus ace David Trezeguet, who is a free agent, and Cristiano Lucarelli.
The latter spent last season on loan at the Stadio San Paolo, but his campaign was hampered by knee surgery.
