There are reports that Manchester United chief executive David Gill is in Italy to negotiate a €39m bid for Inter's Wesley Sneijder.
On Tuesday Nerazzurri technical director Marco Branca declared Sneijder was “not for sale,” but the rumours of a successful swoop continue.
According to Goal.com, Gill has flown into Milan this week to begin advanced negotiations.
There are even suggestions the Manchester United emissaries have been in Italy since yesterday and are already closing on a deal.
It is widely believed the price-tag is €39m, approximately £37m, will be met by the Old Trafford side.
Sneijder's departure could even be welcomed by new Coach Gian Piero Gasperini, whose 3-4-3 system would require the Dutchman's change of position.
