The representative of Lucio will arrive in Italy on Saturday ahead of talks with Italian giants Inter.
With a contract that is set to expire in June 2012, both parties want to prolong their relationship at San Siro.
However, agreeing terms has proved difficult so far given what is being offered and what is being demanded.
Lucio is asking for a deal until 2014, but the Stadio Meazza giants are proposing an agreement until 2013 instead.
The Brazilian, who turned 33 recently, joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2009 from Bayern Munich.
It is understood that the South American currently earns €3m a campaign in Italy.
Lucio's agent Sandro Becker is expected to meet with club officials at some stage next week to reach a compromise.
Lucio is currently on international duty with Brazil in the Copa America.
