Ricky Alvarez is happy with the Javier Pastore comparisons. "I hope to do as well as him," said the Inter new boy.
Being a young Argentine, it was inevitable that he would be likened to Palermo sensation Pastore.
"It's nice to be compared to Pastore," he told Sky Sport Italia. "He's a great footballer and I hope I can do as well as he has in Italy.
"I know I have a lot of responsibility and I want to repay the club for the faith they have shown in me."
Alvarez joined the Italian outfit last week from Velez and he scored the club's third goal in yesterday's 6-1 win over Trentino.
"I'm really pleased," he said of his adaptation to Italy so far. "It's a lot of hard work here, but everything is great and we're enjoying ourselves.
"Coach Gian Piero Gasperini's game is based on speed, to win the ball back immediately and attack your opponents, then get the ball up the pitch and score."
