Espanyol goalkeeper Idriss Carlos Kameni is expected in Italy today to complete his Roma transfer.
Giallorossi director of sport Walter Sabatini confirmed this week they were in advanced negotiations for the Cameroon international.
According to reports from Spain, Kameni did not turn up to Espanyol's pre-season medical today.
It's believed he is already in transit towards Italy, where he could sign a contract with Roma this evening, worth €1m per season.
“His arrival is probable,” Sabatini said on Wednesday. “That means it is something a bit more than just a possibility, even if anything can happen in the market.
“Maarten Stekelenburg? He is a great goalkeeper, but the decision made was a technical one.”
