Napoli have sent an open letter to Uruguay warning not to risk Edinson Cavani's fitness against Argentina.
The striker picked up an injury against Chile in the group phase of the Copa America this week.
However, there are strong reports Uruguay manager Oscar Washington Tabarez will try to field him in tonight's second round knock-out match with Argentina.
“The injury suffered by Cavani against Chile requires at least 10 days of rest from a match situation,” read the letter sent by Napoli.
“We absolutely do not want to see any risks run with our player.”
According to the medical staff, Cavani should not be allowed to make his comeback until Monday.
