Genoa have again warned Inter that “either we receive a player in exchange, or Rodrigo Palacio is staying with us.”
It is well known the Nerazzurri want Palacio to be reunited with Coach Gian Piero Gasperini, but talks collapsed when Goran Pandev refused the swap deal.
“Either we receive a quality player in exchange, or Palacio is staying with us,” declared Genoa President Enrico Preziosi.
“I really cannot understand why a player like Pandev can be unsure about joining us. Genoa have had some great champions in the squad.”
There are other irons in the fire, most notably those waiting to leave Marassi this summer.
“Bologna want Robert Acquafresca and have made a strong step forward. As for the goalkeeper, we'll see if we can get the best on the market, but in any case have to find a club for Eduardo first.”
Genoa have shown interest in Salvatore Sirigu, but Palermo refused Eduardo as part of the deal.
Another alternative is Sebastien Frey, who was told this weekend he is not required at Fiorentina.
