Juventus are hoping to sign Giuseppe Rossi from Villarreal for less than €30m this summer.
The two clubs have been in talks over the Italian international and a deal is understood to be close.
While the Spaniards initially wanted €30m, pus another €5m related to bonuses, Juve seem to have convinced the Liga outfit to lower their expectations.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turin giants are attempting to pay as little as €23m plus bonuses.
Talks are still continuing, but it is being suggested that a compromise could be reached by the end of this week.
Juventus are understood to have already agreed terms with the former Manchester United player. He'll be handed a yearly salary of around €3.5m.
