Despite insistent reports of a move to PSG, Lazio director Igli Tare assures “there has been no formal offer for Mauro Zarate.”
The media in Italy has linked Zarate with intensive negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for a €20m switch.
“Zarate is part of our plans because he has never been on the market,” director of sport Tare told lalaziosiamonoi.
“The President said that if an important proposal comes in then he will evaluate it, but Zarate is a Lazio player and he is important to us.
“Besides, there has been no formal offer for Zarate from any club.”
Tare also commented on other players thought to be leaving the Biancocelesti.
“There is no news on Sergio Floccari. Fiorentina are interested and we'll see if that can develop into something concrete.
“Pasquale Foggia to QPR? No negotiations have been finalised.
“It's only natural that the fans will be excited after our transfer campaign. Following on from a great campaign, we further improved the squad with players at international level, but always keeping an eye on the balance sheet.”
