Gian Piero Gasperini is impressed with the new Inter. “Wesley Sneijder does well in the centre and Ricky Alvarez has great technique.”
The Nerazzurri lined up with their new 3-4-3 system in a 4-1 friendly victory over Cremonese today.
“This game closes the first part of pre-season training, which served to get to know each other. Our legs were a bit heavy due to the fitness work we've been doing, but it was also a good performance in some respects,” said the Coach.
“Sneijder does very well in the centre and was the freshest player on the park. Seeing him play with such hunger is encouraging, as he's doing what we need right now.”
Summer signing Alvarez set up a goal for Samuel Eto'o and was again impressive.
“In just a few days we have catapulted him from one style of football to another that is very different. He handled the transition as naturally as only great players can do.
“There are no doubts we are dealing with a player who has great technique and character.
“Lucio is a player we are counting on and wait for his return from international duty to prepare for the new season.”
