Serie B side Sampdoria have failed to rule out a summer exit for captain Angelo Palombo.
It was believed that the midfielder would remain at Marassi, but sporting director Pasquale Sensibile has today raised some doubts.
"We met a month and a half ago where Angelo demonstrated that he wanted to marry the project here," the club official told Radio Kiss Kiss.
"However, nothing can be taken for granted in football and I can't exclude a move for Palombo," he added.
The Italian international has been suggested as a target for Napoli, especially if they sell Walter Gargano.
"If nobody from Napoli has come forward then it suggests that the player is not part of their plans," Sensibile noted.
