Bologna have dismissed suggestions that they are interested in free agent Marco Materazzi.
The 37-year-old is available after the World Cup winner rescinded his contract at Inter this summer.
The Stadio Dall'Ara outfit have been mentioned as a possible destination for Matrix, but the Rossoblu have cooled the reports.
"I honestly don't know anything about this story," Bologna transfer consultant Salvatore Bagni told FcInterNews.
"I've read the reports in the newspapers, but that is it. I think someone just came up with the theory, but there really is nothing in it."
Materazzi, who spent a decade at San Siro, has stated that he will return to Inter as a scout should he not find a new club ahead of 2011-12.
