Negotiations with Villarreal to bring Giuseppe Rossi to Juventus have hit problems linked with the performance-related bonuses.
There was a meeting today between agent Federico Pastorello and the Spanish club, but Sky Sport Italia claim there was no significant progress.
It was hoped Rossi could complete his transfer to Turin by the end of this week, but now it's reported next Tuesday is a more likely turning point.
There appear to be two issues at the heart of the €30m move.
The first is linked to performance-related bonuses, as Juve do not want the total sum of their offer to go beyond €30m.
Another problem is with regards to timing, as Villarreal would like to keep hold of Rossi until the Champions League preliminary round is completed in August.
This would not be a problem for Juventus, who are not taking part in any European competition this season, so the fact he'll be cup-tied is irrelevant.
However, it would be a very late switch to join new Coach Antonio Conte's squad.
