Didier Deschamps has wished Antonio Conte all the best at Juventus – even if he expects the Milan clubs to dominate Serie A.
Deschamps and Conte were former teammates in Turin, but the latter is now in charge of the Bianconeri after the Frenchman sat on the same bench in 2006-07.
"Conte is a friend," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "We've spoken to each other and I wished him luck.
"I hope it all goes well for him. I really do wish him all of the very best."
Juventus have been quite active in the transfer market so far, but the French World Cup winner is not convinced of their ability.
"We'll have to wait and see how the side is put together," Deschamps continued. "It's still not complete. It depends on what new players arrive.
"At the moment Inter and Milan are ahead of everyone."
Deschamps, linked with Roma during the summer, is currently in charge at Marseille.
