Serie A side Cagliari have seemingly pulled out of the race to sign Paulo Vitor Barreto from Udinese.
Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino recently claimed that an agreement had been reached with Udinese and they just had to finalise personal terms.
However, some weeks have now passed and a report in La Nuova Sardegna claims the outfit are no longer interested in the forward.
Barreto returned to Udine this summer after spending the last three seasons at Bari where he scored 41 goals in 77 League games.
The Brazilian had an injury hit last campaign though and only made 13 appearances in the top flight as Bari were relegated.
The South American forward, who recently turned 26-yearsold, was close to joining Fiorentina last January.
