Walter Gargano expects to still be playing for Napoli in the 2011-12 campaign, although a summer exit hasn’t been totally ruled out.
The Uruguayan has been linked with both Genoa and Lazio, but there has been no significant move by either club to suggest a transfer will be done.
“There is a 90 per cent chance that he will remain at Napoli,” agent Vincenzo D'Ippolito told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“And if he does stay then he will be happy to.
“Napoli have four midfielders for two roles and Gargano is one of this quartet. Their midfield is of the highest quality.
“The transfer market is still open until August 31, but I really do think that he will be staying with the Azzurri.”
Napoli have signed Marco Donadel from Fiorentina, Blerim Dzemaili from Parma and Udinese’s Gokhan Inler this summer.
