Inter and Genoa will reportedly meet on Wednesday to discuss Rodrigo Palacio's proposed switch to San Siro.
The Argentine is wanted by the Nerazzurri and the Grifone are ready to do a deal if their terms are met.
"Palacio won't move to Inter unless we get a player from them in exchange," Genoa President Enrico Preziosi stated.
"Goran Pandev in Rossoblu? Coming to Genoa has to be an honour, I won't accept a player who doesn't want to move here."
Pandev has so far rejected a switch to Marassi given that he wants to prove himself at the Stadio Meazza.
The two clubs discussed their options on Monday and will meet again at some point tomorrow for further talks.
It is being suggested that Inter could offer Luc Castaignos, the 18-year-old striker who has just been signed from Feyenoord, for Palacio.
